Twitter Updates for 2008-07-10

  • Colleague pointed out Vimeo tonight. I pointed out Gawker’s quest to portray Vimeo’s founder as a fundamentally ridiculous individual. #
  • Rather, its quest to show that he may be portraying himself as fundamentally ridiculous. #
  • The Abenteuer of Prince Achmed. The harem scene’s my favorite: http://tinyurl.com/6j5jtk #
  • Missing from inbox lately: “Timothy Lesle, you are a moron. Watch the video.” Why can’t more spam be as endearing as this? #

  1. Not diggin thus Twitted Tools for two reasons. 1) It’s redundant to see your post in my RSS reader and twitted feed 2) It’s cheating. You have to update the blog like everyone else :P

  2. My solution to this dilemma was to take RSS output from Twitter and display it at the top of the blog, above posts. That way the Twitter content is there for blog readers, but it’s not part of the blog database/rss feed.

  3. Thanks, Scot. That’s a good suggestion and I’ll probably so that or something similar. I think there was some urge to capture the Twitter posts in case Twitter ever disappeared, a faint possibility that always seems to be whispered in the wind because of the tech troubles it has.
